Welcome to Silver Elk, a personal exercise in individual expression.

The primary purpose of the silverelk.net domain is to provide my family with a more-or-less permanent email address. The secondary purpose is to let me play with a web site, which I've divided into two major sections:

Silver Elk
These are the “core” pages and have a look-and-feel that is basically the same as this page. They provide a framework to access all of the topic areas on the site, and contain everything that hasn't made it to an individual topic section.
Subsite Topics
These pages are various other topics of interest to me or to other members of my family. All are defined as sub-sites completely separate from the core look-and-feel of Silver Elk. They have topic-wide layout and navigation schemes of their own, but are contained within the Silver Elk domain.
